Solar Heating

Are you getting the benefit of nature’s free solar resource?

Pool water temperatures vary naturally from north to south, from season to season and from morning to night. Sunlover Heating solar systems deliver the ‘swim when you want’ lifestyle - that adds value to your pool.

How it Works: Proven technology

Heating water with solar absorbers is a proven centuries old thermal engineering concept. Solar systems are economical and long life because they are simple – cold water pumped from your pool through solar absorbers on your hot roof collects heat as it makes the return trip to your pool.

Today, Sunlover Heating applies state of the art systems design and polymer engineering to its solar absorber products to deliver the lowest cost and most reliable heating you can get for your pool.

Controlling your free solar pool heating

The water temperature is managed by an electronic controller. Sunlover Heating offers a choice of electronic controllers featuring easy to use digital readouts. You set your desired water temperature and operating times and forget it. You can also alter your settings at any time for a quick boost of heat, or to reduce the pool temperature during a heat wave.

Sophisticated Sunlover Heating digital controllers are reliable Australian made and serviced units, and are available with optional wireless remote controls.

Your solar investment will last

Sunlover Heating has worked with leading polymer engineers to develop a range of state of the art solar absorbers manufactured under ISO 9001 conditions.

Through extensive research, the “10-tube” profiles were developed to gain maximum direct heat from the sun, as well as absorbing reflected and conducted heat from the roof. Their low profile designs are attractive, minimise shading of the tubing and allow secure bonding to the roof surface with good rain water drainage. Their profile widths fit most standard roof tiles and the webbed links between tubes trap little dust and debris to eliminate cleaning.

Sunlover Heating solar pool heating systems are manufactured and installed to AS3634-1989 – Solar heating systems for swimming pools.

EDPM Premium Absorber is made from long life polymer compounds certified to meet AS2369.1-1990 – Materials for solar collectors for swimming pool heating, Part 1: Rubber Materials.

PVC Premium Absorber is made from chemical resistant polymer compounds certified to meet AS2369.2-1993 – Materials for solar collectors for swimming pool heating, Part 2: Flexible or plasticised polyvinylchloride.

The range of Sunlover Heating equipment also includes:

  • Patented Non-grommeted Manifolds are moulded in durable BASF LuranS polymer for easy, leak proof installation.
  • Patented VacRel Vacuum Relief Valves allow water to drain freely from the roof top absorbers to eliminate flexing and stress in the solar absorber.

Your roof will still look good

Black is the most efficient colour for heat collectors. But, if your solar absorber must be placed on part of the roof that is highly visible, you can choose an absorber colour to blend with your roof colour. The difference in heat absorption between colours is not significant, so you do not need to detract from the appearance of your property, to add value to your swimming pool.

Flat Matt Return

Patented Sunlover Flat Matt Returns eliminate unsightly return “loops” on your roof. Moulded in durable BASF LuranS polymer, this return improves appearance, removes a place for leaves to collect, and improves water flow performance by 53%.
